A Statement Made Yesterday By My Soon-To-Be Wife That - Even With Proper Context - Seems A Little Odd...

"I'd marry a chair before I'd marry a canoe."

It's difficult to get six canoes around a dining table. I tried this afternoon and had a terrible time. Now I've got a sore foot.

She wants you to stop swimming and develop two more legs. It's a sign that this may prove to be a very difficult union.

These seems like a bad choice. You can sit in a canoe. You can't avoid floods on a chair.

Plus, the canoe has a greater capacity for love and the chair clearly has mother issues.

I agree with her.

Not that chair though.

Well I wasn't aware that you were engaged...so congratulations! (Obviously I don't look at blogs often any more. Sucks.)

I'm with Kristi.

Billy Jean was saying something like that, too. She said "I am the one", but the chair is not my son.
