Part Ten...

The final installment (for now).
For those of you who are wondering what this is all about, go HERE.
The song is "Bartali" by Paolo Conte. He's from Italy.

Edited to add: The frame you see is purely coincidental and is determined by the Blogger video device. I think it's fitting.

Being italian, I feel I must write the traslation:
(Bartali was a famous cyclist prior to the 2 warld war)
"Would be nice a beautiful bouquet of roses
and the noise that makes the wrapping,
but beer is more yummy
on this sticky rubber day.
I am sitting on top of a sideway
and I'm thinking about my business,
between a motorbike and another there is a silence
I wouldn't know how to describe.
Oh, how many roads into my sandals
How much must have made Bartali
with his sad nose,
like a rising street,
those merry eyes from an Italian on a tour,
and the French respect us,
now, that they are still pissed off,
and you say -we must go to the cinema --
- And go! to the cinema, off you go!. --
It's a whole set of things
which is why I am still here,
Women are sometimes sullen
or maybe they just want to pee.
The sun sets and turn this day in orange and
inflates memories that you do not know,
I like to stay on the dusty road, if you want to go, go ...
and go! that I'm here and I'm wait for Bartali
clatter on my sandals
from that curve he will rise,`
with his sad nose,
like a rising street,
those merry eyes from an Italian on a tour,
and the French respect us,
now that they are still pissed off,
Among the French are pissed
and the newspapers that fly
there is a little wind, the countryside barks, and there is a moon over the blue,
and you say -we must go to the cinema --
- And go to the cinema!,off you go! --"

If you are too lazy to read all the text..here's the meaning: a guy is thinking about his favorite sport while his girlfriend is asking him to go to the cinema..and he is telling her in a very unpolite tone of voice to go by herself!
Quite common in italian men to prefer sport then "girly" stuffs...

Raf- Thanks for the translation! My friend who's fluent in Italian got me into Paolo Conte. I just like the sound of his songs even though I never know what he's singing about.
