Another great blog name - "Social Zymurgy: The Culture Of Beer". I think it's safe to say I discovered this blog through Flannery (Doc's wife). I remember in it's early days, it was mostly a blog about beer and its consumption, but it has evolved over the years into a place where Doc can demonstrate his tremendous skill as a raconteur. Doc has been having a rough go of things as of late - stuff that he's upfront and honest about on his blog - and it would seem that things are starting to look up. I wish him all the best and will continue to read whatever he decides to write.

Woo Hoo! I made it in before Dale! Yes! (big fist pump)
I'll be honest, I had to look up what a raconteur was as I couldn't figure out how you knew I was an expert on raccoons. Thanks for the shout out and your continued readership. It has been a trying couple of months for the staff of Social Zymurgy, but yes, things are looking up.
Take care and God bless old friend,
Doc
I love Doc. There, I said it. Apparently, not enough though to know much about his recent troubles but I plan to read more of him soon. Great tribute Some Guy, all of them really. Snappy idea.
Doc is just a world class great guy!
I'm sorry I have neglected Doc in his time of need. But I have neglected all the blogs, including my own. I have not had the pleasure of meeting Doc in person but I do know his wife, Flannery, who is in fact the glue that keeps me one foot connected in the blogworld (because she has agreed to email me each time there is something I need to read in the blogs.) Now I will really need to catch up with ole' Doc.
I have a feeling Doc's blog will be a part of his comeback. And ours. :)
I'd love to meet Doc and Flannery some day.
We need more raconteurs these days, and Doc should be leading them.
