Blogroll Retrospective: Cormac Brown...

Last post: July 15, 2010

I first knew Cormac Brown of "Cormac Writes" as Write Procrastinator. In this case, I can remember exactly how I discovered him. He had a little side-blog called "Bad Lieutenant's Wife" that I happened upon where you took two (or more) movies that shared a word in their titles and reconstructed them to form a new movie title. It sounds weird, but as a movie freak, I had a great time coming up with new stuff. CB is another one of those all-around nice guys who I hope to one day meet in person. I know the next time I'm in the Bay Area, I'm looking him up.

Chris, I have to tell you how much I'm enjoying your series of blogroll reviews. You have prompted me to drop by some sites I haven't visited in a long time, and I notice that I'm getting visitors from a lot of the blogs you've listed. Great job, my friend.

I missed meeting Mr. Brown and his lovely family when they visited NYC but got to hear about how great they were in person from some of the other bloggers. One day, I'll spring myself on him when he least expects it and will probably end up in some of his excellent noir pieces, one can hope!

Be sure to look him up, Chris. He's charming and a lot of fun. I was lucky enough to have dinner with him one night, though I didn't get to meet his lovely bride or cool son that trip.

Another gentleman on my list of people I have to meet. I love his noir stories and all-around good humor.
