I finally saw An Inconvenient Truth yesterday. I had avoided it for a long time (much like Supersize Me) because, frankly, I knew it would be upsetting.
After watching it, all I can say is THANK GOD we didn't elect an articulate, thoughtful guy like Al Gore. We really dodged a bullet there, huh?

They showed "An Inconvenient Truth" to the science classes at my son's grade school here in Chicago, and let me tell you, he's now demanding that Al run again.
Some Guy, we *did* elect Al Gore, remember?
Do you remember the 2000 election, when Ralph Nader told us there was no difference between Al Gore and George W. Bush?
Do you remember the mainstream media trivializing the issues by asking "Which candidate would you rather sit down and how a beer with"?
OK, I'll take my meds now and shut the fuck up.
Randy- The whole "Have a beer with" line of reasoning is so fucking ridiculous. Who cares who you'd rather have a beer with? If you vote for that person, you're basically guaranteeing that you'll NEVER get the chance to have a beer with them anyway.
If I wanted to have a beer with George W, I could head over to the nearest frat house and find about 100 fairly accurate approximations.
Defence contractors say "Oh yeah, we got the right man."
EVERYONE else "Why is Gilligan driving the boat?"
I watch it during a class where I was substituing(yup I work hard sometime!!)
And you would have been better with him as a president!!(I hate Bush with a passion, I think he is so dumb!!)
