I need a break from those stupid comics and I've been meaning to do this for a while.
I never get to participate in polls. I never get called. No one ever stops me on the street. It amazes me, because with the abundance of polls out there, you'd think I would have been asked for my opinion on something by now.
Instead, I'm going to have my own poll - n'yah n'yah!
Now, I know I've only supplied current democratic or republican candidates, so if you are planning on voting for someone else (like one of Grant Miller's "Unelectables"), leave it in the comments. You can do it anonymously to preserve the idea of a secret ballot if necessary.
I know this is really premature. Like me, you probably don't reconize a bunch of these names. I'm just curious what people are thinking at this early stage.
Thanks for your participation and, as an added bonus, my Canadian readers are welcome to vote, too!

I'm supporting John Edwards, but I also like Hillary and Barack.
Truth is, I'll gladly vote for anyone running against the anointed Republican asshole, whoever he is.
Voting for Obama here!
Um, I don't know if I ever told anyone, but Obama and I were QUITE the item back in Hawaii...
I'm for Edwards. Hopefully he'll do better than he did in that first debate the other night. I think he's got the best plan to address economic issues of any of the candidates.
Even though I'm Canadian, I 2nd randy's response.
I think the dem's have kind of shot themselves in the foot with their two strongest candidates being either (1) black or (2) a woman. Both would make a wonderful president, I think, but will Clinton and Obama be able to generate enough votes to overcome the prejudices of the southern states...even after Bush's inept and clusterfuck of a presidency.
I'm in the Edwards' camp as well. I love Obama and Clinton, but I can't see either of them winning, and I do think Obama could use a few more years of experience.
Wait. Is the poll about who we'd want for president if the normal rules didn't apply? Or about who we like that actually stands a chance at getting elected?
I'm a Kucinich gal myself, but I'll settle for Edwards.
Barack Obama! I've already joined his campaign.
Gore!
I probably agree most with Kucinich on the issues, but I know he doesn't have a realistic chance. Like Vikki, I'm hoping Gore jumps in. I like Barack in general, but I need to know more first. The thing I don't like about Hillary for prez is the fact that, since 1988, the country would be led by the members of only two families. That is unsettling.
A friend of mine summed up Kucinich's chances nicely, I think:
"Kucinich won't win because Americans don't vote for vegan elves."
