Awh man, those are awesome. We didn't even bother with the dart-thing, we'd just scratch 'em off with our thumbnails. There's nothing better than the smell of burning fingernails first thing int he morning. Unless it's napalm I'm smelling first thing in the morning, that smells a little more sweet.
No, not only a boy thing, I used to love them too. Of course, I just did everything my older brother did. I still love "poppers", you only have to throw those on the ground, a lot less effort.
I loved them too - the smell, the sound, the irritation it caused my folks. Cap guns never lasted at our house - we'd lose them or take them apart - so we always just used Dad's hammer out on the driveway. Then of course we'd leave it out there, in the rain, which caused more sparks and noise from Dad then the caps ever made. Good times.

I used to love to pound on those with dad's hammer!
But now, on behalf of my dogs, I hate you. ;^)

Love caps!
You know this is how terrorists get started.
Blast away!
Doc
what are caps?
I know... I'm uncool... was this a boy toy?
Miss Alex- Yeah. Definitely a guy's thing.
Dude, totally sit on the sidewalk and bang 'em with a rock! Just watch out for the sparks--they sting!
GOD I loved those. I loved the smell!
I am so happy now.
Awww, yeah! I loved those! We had a toy gun they went in but generally chose to hit them with a hammer. Have fun!
Smash a whole roll at once.
For me.

For me.
Put them in a toy gun and rob a liquor store.
We used to pound these with rocks.
We used to smash our fingers with those rocks, but we still played with them anyway.
Where's the cap gun??? MUCH more dramatic!!
HAPPY WEDNESDAY!!

We just ran out of those throwing Snaps! Boy did the wee ones think those were fun.
Of course we skateboard down the hallway, so my house is extra fun anyway. I WILL WIN THE GRANDMA AFFECTION WARS! I swear I will!
I'm so jealous.
