This is a simple folk art decoy I carved and painted for Megan's parents
for Christmas. It was fun. I hadn't done one of these in a long time.

I haven't forgotten about the fish I promised some of you.
I have a lot of the carving done, but you'll just have to be patient.

You do some really crafty stuff, I envy people with talent.
Yeah man, very impressive.
LOVE them. Fish in the house bring good luck
That's AWESOME! I'd love to try some carving. That looks really professional. I love it. What wood did you use?
Have you ever tooled leather? I'd like to do that also.
VA- It's carved out of basswood, a nice, soft wood for carving. I have not tooled leather, but I have been called a "tool" on occasion.
I love these. Can you add me to the list? I don't mind being last and receiving it when I'm 80. It'll give me something to anticipate.
That's really cool.
Your carvings are so cool! It's somehing I've always wanted to do but I don't believe I have the touch.
That's really impressive. I've taken on many a craft project in my time, but I've never tried carving anything. How long did it take to finish that, btw?
really cute!!!
Hey, Chris, if you ever get mine done, don't forget that I promised a cross stich in trade. You just have to email me and tell me what phrase you want.
