All I Am Saying...

Is give peas a chance!

OK, that was a lame lead-in to this post. If you are a fan of John Lennon (he's was a musician of some note), you may be interested in the documentary "The U.S. Vs. John Lennon". I don't know that there is too much new information that's revealed, but it has a lot of music and Noam Chomsky is in it. Lennon fans won't be disappointed.

Psychiatric Help May Be Necessary...

My disgust with Bill O'Reilly is well-documented on this blog. I've spoken about him a few times HERE, HERE, and in this already classic post HERE.

Here's the situation: Even though I have altogether given up my Fox News and O'Reilly viewing (which, by the way, was done only because I'm fascinated by trainwrecks), I still pay attention to what O'Reilly said the night before via the internets the following day. It is a compulsion that is beyond my control. When I see him talk or read what he's said, I get the overwhelming urge to want to smear poo all over his face. The thing is, I wouldn't even care if I got a little of the poo on my hands in the process. I mean, I suppose I could wear gloves or something, but it wouldn't be necessary. I just want to see poo on the guy's face.

When Is It Time To Lay Off The Plastic Surgery?...

I'll bet Melanie Griffith has some thoughts on the matter.

That Guy, You Know, He's Been In Everything...

One of the many things I like about IMDb.com is being able to put a name to a face. For instance, I was watching a bit of "Best In Show" last night and saw this guy. I know I've seen him in tons of other movies and TV shows. Now I have his entire resume at my fingertips.

His name is Patrick Cranshaw. Sadly, he died in 2005.

Creating New Habits...

I've decided, from now on, I'm going to be a mouth-breather. All my life I've been a nose-breather. Bo-ring!

I'm really excited about this. As if I didn't look cool enough to begin with. This is going to catapult me into a whole new strata of coolness. Feel free to join me on my meteoric rise to the top.

What Would You Do...

...for a Klondike Bar?

Would you:
  • Drink a bottle of Murphy's Oil Soap?
  • Call your mother-in-law "satan's cunt" to her face?
  • Jump into a pool of pork drippings and earwax?
  • Rub baby oil all over Rush Limbaugh's naked body?
  • Wear mittens made of pubic hair?
  • Watch reruns of "Who's The Boss?"
  • Fuck a marmoset?

If you said yes to any of these, you're an idiot. Don't you know they sell those fucking things at the store? Jeez.

Video As Promised...

There's really no point to this video. It was warm, everything's green, and the birds sounded neat. I'm so glad The Assman is around to enjoy another summer.

The Daisy Dukes thing was just a ruse. Sorry for the let-down.

Heat Wave...

Yesterday I wore shorts and didn't feel the slightest bit cold. And believe me, in the skin-tight Daisy Dukes I prefer to wear, there's plenty of exposed flesh that could potentially get chilly. Thankfully, all I felt was warmth (and a little constricted).

Video footage to follow...

I Owe Someone Some Thanks...

I got "The President's Analyst" from Netflix yesterday upon the recommendation of a fellow blogger. I just can't remember who.

At any rate, it was excellent. James Coburn was outstanding and William Daniels' small part was hilarious.

Thanks, whoever you are!

You Never Know What'll Come Up...

I had this idea for a post. It was about how I wanted to decorate an entire room of my house with those mirrors you get as carnival prizes. Kind of like this:

You've probably seen them. They're totally cheesy and tacky. Most of them feature some heavy metal group's logo. The post was purely for the sake of comedy. I would never really decorate my house in such a way. My interest in the post waned after realizing that there weren't many available pictures of these things and the ones I found were too small for my liking. Plus, the post didn't seem all that funny in the long run. However, during a search for "carnival prize mirror", this happened to pop up:

I have no idea what it'll do for you, but it made me laugh.

A Taste Sensation That Is Sweeping The Nation...

I recently came up with a fantastic new dessert recipe, the last thing you'd expect out of someone as gastronomically challenged as I...

First, buy a box of ice cream sandwiches. Sometimes it's fun to call them "sammitches" or "sangwiches". Remove a few of them from the box and be sure to discard the outer wrapping on each. Toss as many as will fit into...
...a blender. Next add...
Some Baileys Irish Cream. Now, you don't have to buy the Bailey's that comes with two glasses like in the picture, but fuck, if it's the same price as a bottle of Baileys without glasses, you might as well get the glasses. You can never have enough glasses. Unless, of course, you're really cramped for space. Then fuck the glasses. It's up to you.

Pour in the appropriate amount of Baileys depending on how drunk you care to be. Hit one of the buttons on the blender. I like "frappe" personally.

Once the consistency is thick, but not TOO thick, remove the lid (you did remember to put the lid on, right?) and either pour into tall glasses or drink directly from the blender vessel itself if you are impatient. Enjoy!

A Tale Of Two Dummies...

A new movie for the ages, due out this fall.

Starring:
Charlie McCarthy

and
Lamont from "Sanford & Son".

*You see, Charlie McCarthy was a ventriloquist dummy from way back and Lamont was always being called "dummy" by his dad, Fred. Get it?

Work with me, people!

Patrice?...

I don't know, Pat. That hat looks AWFULLY french to me.

P.S.- You suck.

Free Paris!...

Like, oh my god! She, like, totally did NOT mean to violate her probation. I mean, she's like, really, really sorry. I swear to god.

You have like no idea how hard her, like, life is. People are, like, always following her around and stuff. She might seem like she's like this party girl, y'know, but she's like totally sweet and, like, cares about others. She should, like, totally NOT be in jail.

The Dining Tag...

Lulu caught me with this baby. I'm afraid Boyne City is not really a culinary mecca of any kind, but I'll try my best.

The rules:1. Add a direct link to your post below the name of the person who tagged you.

Include the city/state and country you’re in.

2. List out your top 5 favorite places to eat at your location.

3. Tag 5 other people (preferably from other countries/states) and let them know they’ve been tagged.

  1. Scalawag's Whitefish & Chips: I go here each Friday for whitefish, hushpuppies, & fries. I'm not catholic, it just sort of worked out that way. They have reasonably priced whitefish and after your 15th purchase you get $5 off your next order!
  2. Red Mesa Grill: This is a popular spot in downtown Boyne City. They have decent Mexican food considering they aren't many Mexicans in these parts. I usually order the Brazilian Skirt Steak which includes garlic marinated skirt steak char-grilled and served with guajillo enchilada sauce, garlic green chile smashed potatoes, fresh vegetable and onion rings for $12.95. Megan was fond of their Sour Cherry Margarita. Ole!
  3. Pearls: This place is owned by the same people who own Red Mesa. It's decent cajun food considering there aren't a lot of cajuns in these parts. I usually get the Jambalaya, Pearl’s spiciest dish! Chicken, shrimp and Tasso, simmered with tomatoes, rice, onions, celery, green peppers and garlic. Both Creole and Cajun cuisines proudly claim it as their own. $16.95. Laissez les bon temps roulez!
  4. The Bay View Inn: I like going here for Sunday Brunch on special occasions. Bay View is a seasonal Methodist community, or "chautauqua", just outside Petoskey. The picture above is from their website. There's tons of shit to choose from and it has a very old-timey feel.
  5. Applebee's: This place is like a diamond in the rough. Fine dining, elegant atmosphere, and attentive staff make this a must for any Northern Michigan visitor. Whether it's something off the grill or their lighter fare, you're bound to find something scrumptious. The free drink refills don't hurt, either!
OK, I tag Scarlet, Sans Pantaloons, Beth, Anon. Blogger, & The Boob Lady.

One Fucking Post!?...

That's it!? That's all we get?

What the hell?

This blog sucks.

*Actually, to be precise, this post makes two for today.

Diversity...

I was impressed by the diversity of the republican presidential candidates last night. It was a pretty even mix of white guys WITH comb-overs and white guys WITHOUT comb-overs.

Beware, World...

I realize most of you don't know what the fuck this is, but perhaps you can at least appreciate my awesome photoshop ability.

Getting Stuck...

I hate it when things stick or get stuck. It never seems to be a good experience. Think about it:
  • You can get "stuck in the mud".
  • Or "stuck with the bill".
  • Or "stuck in first gear".
  • Or "stuck in the middle".
  • Or "stuck in a rut".
  • Baseball players get "stuck on third base".
  • Employees get "stuck working weekends".
  • Or "stuck in meetings all day".
  • When it's nasty out, you get "stuck inside".
  • "Stuck-up" people are generally considered unpleasant.
  • Zippers that get "stuck" are infuriating.
  • Likewise gum "stuck to your shoe".
  • It's not uncommon to hear someone say "The damn thing's stuck again!"
  • When you're mad, you might tell someone where to "stick it".
However, people are sometime glad they "stuck to their guns" and "stuck it out". Being "stuck on someone" can sometimes be a good feeling. "Sticking up for someone" can be noble.

Now I'm stuck trying to think of a good way to end this post...

Enough Already...

The way they talk about him, you'd think General David Petraeus was the second coming of Jesus Christ. Shit, check out the size of his halo! It's always General Petraeus this and General Petraeus that and we have to give him a chance and it's HIS plan and blah blee blah blah blah.

I hope this guy is gearing up for his future role as "scapegoat numero uno".
