I'm sitting here watching Warren Miller's film "Journey". I've posted about Warren Miller films before. One of the segments of the film is with Glen Plake skiing at Heavenly in Lake Tahoe. It looked pretty impressive. I'm not sure what the quality of skiing is there, but the scenery is pretty fucking breathtaking. Has anyone skied there or heard anything about the area?
I love skiing films.

I love skiing films too, though I'm not really that huge a fan of actually skiing. I used to go watch the WM movies on the huge screen with a crowd of rowdy skiers & boarders, and the atmosphere made them all the more fun.
Ah yes, Warren Miller, there is no other. Glen Plake, holy cow, i forgot about that guy, but I think he STILL has that crazy mohawk.
Yes. Heavenly is one of the few places I have skied and the name fits.
I've skiied Heavenly. It was like skiing sierra cement on the day I went, but it was very beautiful with the Lake views, and kind of cool that you can ski both California and Nevada in one run.
It doesn't rate to Utah, or even Colorado, but I'm a powder snob.
I see the Warren Miller movie every year when it opens at Boulder Theater.
I just hear about it on the local news all winter. I've never skied it or been there.
I'm so helpful, huh?
