I was out on my deck and I thought I heard the Cantina Theme from Star Wars. Sure enough, they were performing in a park a couple blocks from my house, so we went over and caught most of their set.

You're right, it's impossible to listen to steel drum music and not be happy.
Just like it's impossible to listen to the Peruvian flute without feeling like you're being massaged by someone who smells like patchouli.
Steel drum band music is definitely happy music!
But... banjo music always reminds me of Deliverance...
Steel Band = STONERS!!!!
Now, if you could put steel drums together WITH banjos you'd really have something!
