Let Me Just Wipe Up That Last Post...

Sorry about that. I didn't come into work yesterday. I didn't want to flood my office with mucus.

The snot post did remind me of something from my childhood. On the block where I grew up in suburban Chicago, I had a friend named Chris. He was a couple years younger than me. To keep things straight, I was known on our block as "Big Chris" and he was "Little Chris", despite the fact that I wasn't all that big. At any rate, anytime Little Chris would sneeze, without fail, he would be left with this super-long green booger dangling from his nose. The damn thing seriously reached down to his knees. Every time! All us other kids thought it was hilarious and I sensed he took great pride in being able to amuse us.

Did this Chris' last name begin with "Z?" If so, I believe I saw him at the Starbucks in Elmhurst last week. I avoided eye contact and didn't say hello because it would have been awkward.

Indeed it did, Grant! Last I heard he was living in Europe, so it may not have been him. If you didn't see the telltale three-foot loogie, then it's still in doubt.

Thanks for cleaning up. However, I think it's a little late, because I'm pretty sure I got some germs from that post, and am now not feeling so hot.

I'm blaming you.

Grant-I was watching both of you in Starbucks. I didn't say Hi, cause it would have been awkward and it's not your time to die. Yet...

I had a similar situation on my blog as a kid-- I was Big Brian. Little Brian was actually a lot younger than me-- I was 11 and he was maybe 4.

I want you to know that I was boycotting your blog until you posted something after the booger-nose post. I would check your site (half the time I was eating) and the damned browser would refuse to click away from it!

There was a guy named Roy in my 3rd grade class who was a nice kid, but I took to avoiding him because he always had a bunch of boogers hanging out of his nose. Maybe me and my classmates should have staged a booger intervention.

That should have been "block", not "blog.' Doh!
