Some Ground Rules...

OK, for those of you who think it's "for all intensive purposes" instead of "for all intents and purposes", I'm gonna let it slide.

However, I'm afraid if you think it's "for all in tents and porpoises", we're gonna have a problem.

I think one time I saw a dildo with a lil' add on in the shape of a bottle-nosed dolphin.

I laugh to myself when I hear people say, "irregardless."

Val- Oh man! I love that! And the people who use it think they're sounding really smart.

You're wrong. It's definitely "all in tents and porpoises." Like everytone gets "it's a moo point" wrong. What are they teaching y'all up north?

Cute Flipper.

I knew somebody who always said "It's a mute point"

Wish I would have had a mute button to use on them.

What about the myriad of coo-coo ways people say "various and sundry"?

It's the people who get the basics wrong who really drive me crazy. Like those who write:

I have to brothers.
That is to funny.

These are the basics of English, people! To, too, two. My nerves ... sorry, editors tend to overreact about these things.

I, too, am also always searching for typos, grammar, and spelling errors.

Thank you Chris, for bringing this to light.

Irregardless.... thanks Valarie. That one really bugs me!

My annoying neighbor spoke of the 'wholesale price for land' the other day....

huh? Does the 'Maker' give good discounts to certain folk????

Years ago I started saying for all intensive purposes to make fun of people and now I can never remember which one's right without thinking for a few seconds. Let that be a lesson to you.

Personally, my pet peeve is "as per." "As" is implicit in the whole "per" thing, that's why they invented it.
