Round about seventh grade, I was way into the WWF. I am now going to try to remember as many names from that era (professional wrestling's "Golden Age") as I can. I swear I am using no internets aids for the sake of this post.
- Hulk Hogan
- Andre The Giant
- Rowdy Roddy Piper
- The Iron Sheik
- Nikoli Volkov
- Macho Man Randy Savage and manager, The Beautiful Elizabeth.
- Leapin' Lanny Poffo
- Junkyard Dog
- The British Bulldogs (One was Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake. The other, I believe, was Greg "The Hammer" Valentine)
- Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat
- Koko Beware
- Hillbilly Jim
- "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan
- The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhardt, and manager "Mouth Of The South" Jimmy Hart.)
- Jake "The Snake" Roberts
- Mr. Fuji
- "Classy" Freddy Blassie
- The Fabulous Moolah
- "Mean" Gene Okerlund
- Gorilla Monsoon
- George "The Animal" Steele
- King Kong Bundy
- Jesse "The Body" Ventura
- Captain Lou Albano
- Big John Studd
- Terry & Hoss Funk

I am older than you, and my dad and I would watch "All Star Wrestling".
I remember:
Verne Ganya
The Crusher
Baron Von Ratchke
Bobby the brain Henan
Billy Robinson
All spelling errors are mine, and mine alone...
I'm so old I remember Andre The Giant & Haystack Calhoun.
I think the following guys were around the same time of at least some of the guys you listed.
If I looked at some wrestling sites, I'm sure I'd see more names I recognized, but these are from my memory.
Pistol "Pez" Watley (I *did* have to look up the spelling of his name)
Dick The Bruiser
The Von Eric Brothers
I watched wrestling back when I was in 5th grade or so, on KPLR, the super station out of St. Louis, Missouri. The show was called 'Wrestling At The Chase'.
It would be on when I got back from Jewish sunday school! Woooo!
Oops, I think it's "Pistol" Pez, not Pistol "Pez".
I regret the error.
You wanna see something shocking. Check out how many of those you list are already dead. Uncluding Elizabeth.
George the Animal Steele
Baron Von Raschke (remember his famous move, "the claw"?)
Haystacks Calhoun
Men.
(shaking head.)
:)
Chris, I have Wrestlemania 3 on VHS if you ever have then need to borrow it ... Jake the Snake & Alice Cooper, oh my!!
Captain Lou Albano (or however it's spelled) and his whole involvement with Cyndi Lauper... and the rubberbands he wore in his beard and stuff.
My brother was sooooooooooooooooooooooo into Sergeant Slaughter. He wore all the camo and the glasses all.. the .. time.
