Let's See How Well Your Sarcasm Detectors Are Working Today...

I really love seeing orange road constructions barrels lined up for miles
and miles
and miles
and miles
and miles
and miles
and miles
and miles
and miles
and miles
and miles
and miles
blocking off a lane with no visible road work being done whatsoever.

It's like they want to give one-half of the highway a vacation or something.

Sometimes, the workers are ironically, tied up in traffic. The truck that drops the cones is usually the first on the site.

Yeah, and why do they leave it that way overnight and on the weekend when they are not working?!

I like watching them set up the work zone on my way to work, then remove the barrels at the end of the work day. It never looks like the workers accomplished the road repairs. Just that they set up and took down the work zone area.

Ohohohoh I also like to watch them on break, and I like it when they are huddled in a very intense conversation about where they want to eat lunch.

My favorite though, is the good looking flag guys that cause accidents when both guys flag an OK for the cars to go ahead. Apparantly when this happens the batteries have warn out in their walkie talkies and the budget did not allow for new batteries, so the guys guess if it is OK to allow trafice to go ahead.

It's because somebody's brother in law makes the orange traffic barrels and they need a big payday.

Flann, I'm surprised you didn't note that the Orange Barrel is the State Bird of Ohio.

Meanwhile, Orange Barrels are naturally attracted to cold, Northern climes where they are found gatered 'round eating their favourite sustaining dish, broken asphalt.

Down here in Dixie where it doens't snow and rarely freezes we don't have these problems.
