Laughing Fucking Rules...

I've probably written about this before, but nothing feels quite as good as intense gut-laughter. I'm talking about the kind where you completely lose control -- you can't breathe, your stomach tightens, and tears start to flow. I love it when something is so damn funny it overwhelms me. It can happen at any time and there's nothing you can do to suppress it. My brother used to embarrass the shit out of me in church as kids when he'd do something completely inappropriate and crack my ass up. There are times when I'm alone, like on the way to work, when something totally random -- some memory or joke or other bit of goofiness -- will pop into my head from out of nowhere and I'll just about have to pull over I'm laughing so hard.

I feel bad for people who haven't experienced this sensation. I hope there aren't many who haven't. I think laughter is something that unites us all. We're always on the lookout for something funny. If anyone knows someone who doesn't laugh, let me know. I want to have a crack at them.

Here are a few samples of what I'm talking about. These are reruns for some of you, but due to the recent massive influx of new visitors, I thought they were worthy of reposting:

Jen @ Casual Slack cracks me up.
Me cracking up watching TV.

Edited to add: After posting this I went back and watched the first video and I STILL crack up at it. Who knew a photoshopped Eli Manning post would get so much comedic mileage with me. I think this is like the fourth post I've written about it.

I love this. I never saw the Jen one before. And I love how the comment on the second video on Youtube says, "Dude, you're gay" and you leave it up. Also, you actually have to pull over while driving? Hyterical.

I LOVE laughing like that and I do it all the time. Sometimes it's so bad I have to use my inhaler!!! My daughter and I laughed like that at my husband just Saturday night - we were crying and holding our sides and snorting - the whole nine yards.

Yep, life is good!

If I could only laugh intensely while standing in a field of dandelions tickling my toes, I could die a happy man.

You laughing makes me laugh. And whoever it is in the background telling you that it's only "mildly amusing" makes it all the better.

Bravo Some Guy...Bravo!

I am totally with you on the laughing. Seriously, it's gotta be one of the best fucking feelings in the world. It's like a damn drug. Those uncontrollable fits of laughter happen to me about once every six months or so, with the can't-catch-a-breath-tears-rolling-down-the-eyes and it is the BEST! It usually happens when I'm pretty tired and slap-happy. I wish I could will it to happen, it's the awesomest thing EVER!

I live to laugh. I'm not even kidding, that is my primary goal in life - to laugh as much as humanly possible. It feeds my very soul.

(P.S. I, too, love the comment by that guy, "Dude your gay"... hahahaha)

Um, or tears rolling down my cheeks, not eyes...

Whatever.

The gays do love to laugh, dude.

Like e, my favorite part was the gf telling you that it was only mildly amusing.

Now that you're watching Sunny, you'll be laughing a lot more. I expect a shout out at some point.

Ahh. That was great! I'm just laughing along with you here and my kid is staring at me like I'm nutso. (think she'd be used to it by now. But whatever). I have to ask - what were you watching on tv?

This is why I knew I married right. We don't always agree on everything, and the way he chews food makes me want to jump into a wood chipper, but man oh man my Mr. and I sometimes laugh so hard at stupid crap that we cry.
I am a freak, so it's nice to have someone who gets the same jokes as me. He knows that when I call him "retarded" or "gay" or "special" that it's not a hate crime. It's just me showing love. Awww....

Also- once I started laughing so hard while out shopping ALONE (some woman sneezed and farted at the same time which is pretty much a no-brainer for me) that I had to go into the parking lot to recoup/gather my wits about me.
Alone.
Nothing feels as good as a good, genuine, teary belly laugh.
Nothing.

I agree completely! "Laughing Fucking Rules..." Unfortunately, it seldom happens to me anymore. But I do remember the feeling. Sigh.

I love to laugh too! It truly is the best or one of the best medicines! I have XM on my car stereo, and I have the comedy channel on there-sometimes I just have to laugh, and with no else in the car...I wonder what the person next to me is thinking (yeah, probably "look at that weirdo laughing to himself!") but oh well! It's funny!
