More Fun With Google Image Search...

Just for the hell of it, I conducted a little experiment with Google Image Search. First, with the help of an online thesaurus, I made a list of synonyms for the word "idiot". Then I did an image search of each to see how many pages it took until I got to a picture of Dubya. The results are as follows:
  • ass - 21 (with a "safe search", it was page 11)
  • blockhead - 35
  • boob - I stopped at 48. Our friend, The Boob Lady, popped up on page 23
  • cretin - 14
  • dimwit - 1
  • dummy - 7
  • dunce - 1
  • dunderhead - 1
  • fool - 12
  • halfwit - 2
  • idiot - 1
  • ignoramous - 1
  • imbecile - 4 (His mom was on page 1)
  • jackass - 28
  • mental defective - 7
  • moron - 1
  • nitwit - 2
  • pinhead - 9
  • simpleton - 2
  • twit - 1
I didn't take the time to link to all of them because they fluctuate. The following searches also turned up Dubya pics on the first page: dark lord, dumb fucking dummy, dipshit, petulant asshole, texas shame, and all hat no cattle.

I Love Image Searches...

In preparing for one of today's brilliant posts in which I lament the fact that the golden age of television is over and that we may never see a show like "Manimal" again, I had to do an image search to give some visual "punch" to my assertion. The cool thing about doing an image search (I usually use Google or Yahoo) is that you never know what sorts of crazy shit will pop up. Like this, for example:

The Porn Spectrum...

Jesus. It's 4:34 PM and I still haven't posted anything. Time to do a childish Google Image Search experiment involving porn. My loyal readers know I'm fascinated by Google Image Searches.

Today's question: Which color is the most pornographic?

The criteria: I enter each of the colors of the visible spectrum, one at a time, and see on which page a porngraphic photo first appears. To be considered pornographic, the photo must contain exposed male or female sexual organs and/or a female nipple. Let's begin:
There you have it. Scientific proof that violet is the most pornographic color and yellow is just plain lame.

*Remember, image search results are constantly changing, so if you check these links and there's no porn there anymore, I'm sure you can find some somewhere else on the internets.

A Little Experiment...

Those of you who regularly visit my blog know that I'm a big fan of "The Google", primarily the image search. I feel my posts are naked without a picture attached. One thing I've noticed in my many searches is that, no matter what search phrase you use, eventually you'll find something pornographic. I'm trying a few benign phrases to see how far I have to go until I find a naked body. I'm not sure how often these things change, but hopefully the links I provide will still be valid.

Here goes:
*Edited to add: As you may have noticed, some of these links are no longer valid (they don't show porn). I knew this would be a problem. The damn interwebs can't just hold still for a second, can they?

WARNING!...

This is for anyone out there who is thinking about doing a
Google Image Search for Tony Danza.
For GOD'S SAKE, turn ON whatever parental "safe search" filters
you possibly can before you do.
That is, unless you want his schwanza staring you right in the face.

And for my female or gay readership who
care to look at celebrity weiners, voila (NSFW).

The Most Taboo Subject In The World...

I consider myself a very well-informed person. I'm pretty aware of what's going on in the world. I pay attention to things and have a decent memory. I am also very open when it comes to talking about potentially taboo topics like religion, sex, and politics. I have absolutely no memory of anyone - not family, not friends, not teachers - ever talking to me about hemorrhoids.
Up until about a year ago, the most I knew about hemorrhoids was that it was some sort of ass pain and that Preparation H was the cure. I had no idea what the symptoms were, what caused them, or how they manifested themselves. I didn't even know of anyone who had ever had them. Things changed quite suddenly when I noticed a raw, stinging nodule sticking out of my butthole while I was wiping one day. I was caught completely off guard and wasn't totally sure what I was dealing with. I did some internet investigation to confirm my suspicion that this was, in fact, a hemorrhoid. I bought some ointment which is applied in a disgusting, yet totally necessary fashion. Constipation is the leading cause due to increased pressure on the sphincter during bowel movements. Thankfully there has been no recurrence since. There have been times when I thought I was on the verge of a repeat, but I increased my fiber intake and modified my pooping habits to preempt their return. I felt like it was wrong for me to talk about this with anyone because no one had ever talked about it before, like there was some shame attached to it. I'm curious if other people have been sheltered from the existence of this unpleasant bodily occurence. As a curious person, I also made the fatal error of doing a Google image search during my investigation. For those of you who like gross shit like this, I dare you to do a similar search. In fact, I'll do it for you. Here. There it is. Waiting. Don't you want to see just how nasty it is? Come on.

She Sure Does...

This was found while doing an image search for "fish testicles", part of another post I was contemplating. It would appear this young lady does not have the same feelings towards, say, cheeseburgers.

The Biggest Nerd I Ever Knew...

And for those smart alecks out there, no, it's not me.

There was this kid I went to junior high with that was the personification of the word "nerd". Let me start by coming clean. I'm sure there were plenty of times I was guilty of tormenting this poor kid. I like to think that, knowing what I know now, I'd be a little more sympathetic, but I was in junior high and junior high kids are fucking cruel. However, he did bring a lot of it on himself.

First of all, he had all the textbook signs and symptoms of a nerd. He wore uncool clothes (probably Garanimals) and shoes. He neither washed nor combed his hair. He walked funny and he sucked at sports. His mom used to drop him off by the bike racks each day right in front of the gathered masses of pre-pubescent vultures ready to give him his daily dose of early morning shit. Looking back, I'm impressed that he had the fortitude not to resort to a Columbine-style rampage.

There were two things he did that elevated him above just your run-of-the-mill nerds. One was that he wrote love letters to a handful of the most popular girls in our class. In them, he described how he had fantasies about them. Big mistake. The notes instantly became public and he had nowhere to run.

The other thing he did that really baffled me was what he did in the gym locker room. At the beginning of the school year, you had to purchase a gym uniform. The guy's uniform included a jockstrap. None of us ever wore it except him. What he would do, in order to never be completely naked, was put the jock on over his underwear and then stretch the legholes of the briefs down around his ankles. It required a lot of coordination and a lot of extra time - enough time that the rest of us noticed and gathered around him in a chorus of taunts. He did this every day.

Given my disdain for bullies, it saddens me that I didn't have the balls to stick up for this kid, or at least give him some tips on how to fly under the radar. I guess I was too nervous that one wrong step and I'd be exposed for the nerd that I was, too. That's how I remember junior high - living in fear. The best bet was to keep a low profile. One moment everything could be fine, but one embarassing fuck-up and you'd be eating lunch by yourself for the rest of the year.

By the way, doing an image search for "jockstrap" is not something I intend to do again any time soon.

If I Had A Tall Ship...

...I think I'd spend the bulk of my time on the poop deck.

It just seems like where I'd want to be.

By the way, we can add "poop deck" to the list of Google Image Search phrases that feature a picture of Dubya on page one.

Everything?...

Whenever I hear someone say, "Now I've seen everything!", I'm always a little skeptical. Seriously? Everything? Think about it. That means they've seen:
  • Queen Elizabeth's butthole.
  • a house made of toenail clippings.
  • Sarah Palin locked in a sixty-nine with a caribou.
  • a funny episode of "Who's The Boss?".
  • David Lee Roth wearing khaki Dockers.
  • an automobile that runs on fear.
  • an invisible man.
  • booger-flavored Chapstick.
  • Dick Cheney's fourth nipple.
  • Bill O'Reilly trying to buy Mad Dog 20/20 with food stamps.

*-For the record, I did a Google Image Search for "Queen Elizabeth's butthole". Nada.

Shit I Never Do...

I never, ever lick my thumb to assist me in turning pages of books or magazines.

Do you?

p.s.- A prize for whoever can find a pic on the internets of someone licking their thumbs before turning a page. I found nada, so I just did an image search for "huge tongues". Now THAT'S a wild ride!

The #1 Person...

According to "The Google", police chief Randy Person of Xenia, OH is the #1 person.

His picture pops up first when you do an image search for "person". I wonder if he is aware of this tremendous honor.

Donald R. Person, Esq. came in a disappointing third. Better luck next time, Donny!

Forts...

I used to love to make forts, inside or outside. Of course mine were much more inspired than this kid's rather pedestrian attempt. For one, he's not utilizing all the materials at his disposal, mainly blankets and other furniture. Mine would have intricate tunnels with little nooks and crannies. I think one even had a sunken living room with a woodburning stove. If I knew this kid, I'd offer him some pointers, but alas, he's just some random shmoe that popped up during a Google image search. He'll never benefit from my years of experience. How unfortunate.

And what the fuck is a "cranny"? You never hear cranny used by itself. It's always preceded by nook. Nook you'll hear by itself from time to time, but not cranny. What makes it so damn special, huh?

Stress...

I was going to write a post about how I'm feeling slightly stressed about some stuff right now. I did a Google image search for "stress" and this picture popped up.

Oddly, I don't feel as stressed anymore.

Just When You Think Life Can't Get Any Better...

Remember that bitch-bastard of a canker sore that's been tormenting me for what seems like months now? No? Oh, right. I guess I never mentioned it. I don't like to burden you guys with my problems. You all have your own shit to deal with. Well, at any rate, it seems to be gone. I suppose I could have done more to accelerate its demise. I think they do make various salves and potions that alleviate a lot of the pain. Do doctors perform cankerectomies? If they do, it probably costs like 78 million dollars which, in my book, is WAY too expensive. Sure it hurts like a motherfucker, but I have better things to spend my 78 million on, like Hummels and blow.

Edited to add: For the record, this is not my canker. I robbed it off GIS (Google Image Search).

Even More Knowing The Difference...

A bat with an erection.

An onion that has been cut and deep-fried in such a way
as to make it appear to be "blooming" or "blossoming".
They are available at many chain-style eateries.

**This is the last entry in this series.
For those of you who are concerned, the bat picture was
one of the first to come up during a Google
image search for "weird shit". Don't believe me?
See for yourself.

Meet Bill Dorko...

Mr. Dorko is a research chemist in the Analytical Chemistry Division at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. He is the National Coordinator of the NIST Traceable Reference Material Program for Gas Standards.

His was the first picture to pop up during an image search for "dorko".

Poor guy. I wonder if he's any relation to Craig Dorko:

This Picture Has Nothing To Do With The Following Post...

I wanted to do a post about political ads, so I did an image search and this picture came up. Since I didn't really want to have a real "political ad" picture cluttering up my screen, BUT I knew I had to have A picture, I figured a laughing dog would do just fine.

So, for the second night in a row, while watching "Jeopardy!", I noticed multiple airings of the same Obama AND McCain ads during the course of the half-hour. I'm in a battleground state, so I've got this to look forward to until November. Fuckin' yay.

Allow me a second to be the guy who complains about political ads.

What the fuck? This is uncalled for. It makes no sense. If someone is watching a half-hour show and they are shown the same fucking ads during each commercial break, isn't that counterproductive? Aren't you just pissing off people like me who are too behind the times to get a DVR-type contraption? Every day with these ads is bad enough, but the SAME FUCKING ADS every ten minutes? That'd be fine if they were different every time. Actually, no, fuck that, it would still suck.

I say one political ad per candidate per hour of television. That's plenty.

I think the bottom line is that these two men love themselves so much that they can't go five minutes without seeing their face somewhere on something. That's why they spend so much on TV ads.
