Amsterdam: Cesspool Of Corruption?...
This was posted over on Nevada Thunder and I thought it deserved sharing. I've been to Amsterdam on five different occasions and I have always had a positive experience. Those of you who've been there know that it is an absolutely beautiful city. Parts of it look like they're out of a storybook. The people are extremely friendly and there was never a moment I felt unsafe. Bill O'Reilly and the Fox News Staff would do well to visit Amsterdam and check it out for themselves before they go spreading their bullshit.
My sincere apologies to all Amsterdammers. These people know not what they say. They're morons.

Love it.
They just can't stand it, can they? Liberals having a good time. How anyone can listen to their propaganda is beyond me.
I never believe a word that comes out of that man's mouth anyway. Did he interview ANYONE who wasn't a severe right-wing Republican? Or anyone who'd ever BEEN to Amsterdam?
I love Amsterdam. It's pretty, low key and friendly and I've never felt in the least unsafe.
I didn't see any proof whatsoever that the druglords and mafia controlled any damn thing from that clip. The special coffee shops aren't even intimidating at all!
I don't know how Fox get away with half the crap they spew. They don't even give the pretense of being unbiased which makes their "Fair and balanced" slogan totally hilarious.
Yes, because places like New York and DC are the purest, most Godly places on Earth.
Amsterdam would be a lot safer place if they would just follow our lead and make the drugs illegal and the guns easy to buy.
O'Reilly strikes me as the sort of American who would go to Europe, stay at a Holiday Inn, then come home and complain for the rest of his life about how he couldn't get Pepsi with ice.
See, they make it look all nice and peaceful, but when you get there, they take off your pants and make you do bad things.
Amsterdammers? I love that name.
A famous liberal city would make the perfect target for these characters. They're sad people, really.
But, But, they're socialists! Oh, they're not? Never mind.
I concur with you. I've been to Amsterdam twice. A month at a time. LOVELY city. The Dutch are wonderful people and the smoke shops are incredible. As I don't smoke pot, I sure did enjoy sitting at the sidewalk cafes and watching other people do it, legally! Great cookies, fun art museums and AWESOME dance clubs. Highly recommend staying at the Hemp Hotel. Cheap and nice owners!
Tell Lolly I sent ya!

Bill O'Reilly is a prick of gigantic proportions. Not that he has one himself.
This elegant video response has been sabotaged by or via YouTube: it's no longer on public view. As a naive Dutchman, it's only now dawning on me why these vicious attacks on Freedom would have to take place at all: it is embarrassing for certain totalitarian elements in US politics to realize that the Dutch paradigm belies their nightmare scenarios for "Liberalism". An annoying case of US political infighting at the expense of unconcerned outsiders and an insult to the intelligence of the US TV viewer.
Talking of prick size and confirming that innocent sexual allusions do not automatically lead to YouTube blocking:

Here's the thing that Billy doesn't get: A true Republican is against the implementation of government control over these substances. A true Republican should stand for minimal government interference and personal responsibility for the choices you make. You choose to do drugs? Fine. You live with the consequences.
Plus, I believe (and my apologies to any Dutch folks here if I'm confusing you with Belgium) that, while marijuana is legal in the Netherlands, possession of all of the other "harder" stuff is strictly forbidden and heavily prosecuted.
And Billy Bo Bob Bumblefuck should go back and check his history: more Republicans have tried to legalize marijuana in America than Democrats. But then again, as with any media outlet, checking your facts and reporting on the truth has been replaced by our current form of "journalism".

Possession of drugs is not criminalized in the Netherlands, dealing is!
