Ski Report, Week 8...

Since the conditions next time I ski probably won't be worth reporting about, I've decided this is my last one for the season. It was the big spring party weekend (which I mentioned last year) where I patrol, so it's a good one to end on. The weather was warm and sunny. The skiing was great. The drunks were entertaining and non-violent. There were naked boobies. I'll leave you with a video of a time-honored spring skiing tradition - trying to make it across the pool of freezing water. I sped it up because I know you people are busy and things are generally funnier in double-time. Note the guy who tries it with one ski and almost makes it. Also note only one snowboarder makes it across. There is also a tiny bit of plumber's butt, so be warned.

I always love these, a lot of our areas do something similar!

I think I'd need a few drinks in me before I'd try this one, and from the looks of it, I'm not alone. Mr. Plumbers Butt wasn't having hot coco before going down the hill, that's for sure. I loved the couple of "agony of defeat" crashes at about 1:40, not to mention the little kid doing the dog-paddle to save himself.

The rodeo has clowns to save the cowboys from the bull, but what do they call the guys who jump in to save the drowning skiers?

Congrats on another season, Some Guy! I enjoyed the video.

That looks like a ton of fun. And the video would have been perfect with some Benny Hill music in there.

Jay- It's funny you say that. I was going to use the Benny Hill theme (Yakety Sax), but got tired looking for a free download that didn't involve a lot of bullshit.

Very funny, especially the facial expressions (and arm waving) by the sinkers. Heh!

Hi Chris,

I saw this same thing in Nelson, BC hippy capital of Canada and some poor dude did it completely butt naked in front of hundred of onlookers. And the safety guy in the wetsuit waited to help him out and give him a towel. The poor guy had to walk out and get his own towel and was yelling: "it's not normally this small!"

Emmanuel- That's classic!
