A New Look For Summer...

Things are finally starting to warm up here in the north. The snow is receding rapidly and the honking geese are signaling that the end of winter is at long last in sight. If you're a clothes horse like me, the only thing on your mind right now is planning out your summer wardrobe. I've been scouring all the men's fashion mags for ideas and I think I've narrowed it down to two looks that I think will work for me. I'm either going to go with:

Barbershop Quartet Chic

or

Barrel-Retro

Right now I'm leaning toward the barrel. It's airy and will cut down on my laundry bill. I figure a little Murphy's Oil Soap every now and then and I'd be good to go. I know what you're thinking. Some Guy, how are you going to use a urinal in that thing? I understand your concern, but I think that could be solved fairly easily with a strategically-placed bunghole.

How time flies! It doesn't seem that long ago when a person could get a hunting license and then go after anyone wearing Barbershop Quartet Chic. I think there was a bag limit of two.

Oh no Chris, the barbershop look is all you buddy! You must have that cane available for Megan to pull you off screen in videos.

That top outfit would look great with that wolf shirt that you were thinking about buying last year.

I can understand your leaning towards the barrel. It's a no frills style that reflects the current economy.

But how would you drive to work? Unless you live uphill. Then you could just tuck in our arms/legs and roll.

p.s. Why is the size of the type on your blog so teeny tiny?

I'm with Zibbs. I think you should just go for the wolf shirt, jorts and some flops and faster than you can say gun rack you're Michigan's answer to GQ.

You. Kill. Me.

I have to go with you on this one. The barrel look is retro-chic with the freedom to let the boys be free and "air out" while still being alfresco and fashionable.

Brilliant!

Frighteningly, when I saw the barrel, I thought "Hey, all he needs is a strategically placed bunghole, and he's good to go."

Seersucker suit, all the way baby!

I'd go with the barbershop look. You'll annoy WAY more folks in a shorter time, so it's more efficient. The barrel will make sitting and therefore blogging difficult.

I hate to inform you that sitting will be out of the question also for the summer. I've heard standing really ISN'T bad for your varicose veins.

Happy Monday!

While the barbershop quartet look seems a bit high maintenance, what with all the whistle cleaning and seersucker re-striping all the time. But, on the other hand- I think the barrel might chafe.

Since the appeal of the barrel for you is the "keeping your junk aired out" thing, I suggest going with the barbershop look from the waist up, and go with a kilt from the waist down. Let me tell you- there is no better feeling than wearing a skirt sans underpants on a nice spring day.
It's a win-win look, as far as I can tell.

I like the barbershoppe chic, but then again, I'm crazy about seersucker.

Get both looks - spring and summer looks.

I think the barrel would nicely go with a sleep mask..in case you see a sexy girl and you get a hard on..
and if you think to use the bunghole..check around for dogs..
