Much like the first time I watched the classic doc Grey Gardens, the first time I started watching Dark Days I just wasn't feeling it and turned it off after about fifteen minutes. I knew I needed to give it another chance and I'm glad I did. It is really well done. It's about a group of homeless people living in an abandoned section of New York's underground railway system. The participants are very open about their lives and how they got to where they are. The DVD is available on Netflix or if you're super-impatient you can watch it there instantly.

Documentary Film Of The Day: Dark Days...

Is that about NYC's "mole people"??? There was a story about them last week in the new york paper i buy. What a sad existence.
Interesting. I too LOVE documentaries, almost to the exclusion of all "movies." I really want to watch Grey Gardens too.

Hey - have you seen that doc on Fred Phelps? I saw it the other day and might review it. It was a joke, as you might imagine.
Joe- They never called them that in the movie, but they did live like moles in a way.
Grant- I've seen the Phelps wackos in a bunch of docs, but I'm not sure if I saw one that was just about them.
