Color Me Horrified...

The guy I work with has, quite possibly, the WORST taste in music of anyone I've ever known. This is a guy who graduated in 1976. He grew up amid some of the best music ever, yet he regularly listens to:
  • Color Me Badd
  • Dan Fogelberg
  • Poison's "Unskinny Bop"
  • George Michael
  • Hootie & The Crappy Blowfish
  • Kenny G
  • I just heard Roxette's "Joyride" coming from his office, the one that starts "Hello, you fool, I love you."
Yikes...

there is nothing wrong with fogelberg. cept maybe his hair. thanks for the birthday wish chris! :)
ps. don't say nothing bad about my george. how can you not love a guy who gets caught doing dirty things in a public restroom? also 420'ed and slung over the steering wheel of his own car?

I like George Michael. He was uber sexy when I was 13.

what's wrong with this music, you pansy?

I happen to like every person that you listed.

I guess I'm a geek, as well.

Thanks, Chris. **sobbing**

I used to work for a guy who graduated around the same time, grew up in NY City & had never heard of The Ramones.

now wait a sec, Folgelbergie gave us such chesnuts as "Old Lang Syne" and "Run for the Roses" and something or other aobut what to do now that th' love is gone. Plus, he was kinda HOTT in that beard and hair parted in th' middle.

I agree th' rest of that stuff sucked, but keep yer mitts offa' me boy!!

oh, yeah-- don't forget "Leader of the Band". Gawd, that gets me all steamy-eyed even now.

I should have added that it's the worst taste in my opinion.

Doing a post like this is admittedly silly. People like what they like. If a song or a musician has a sound or message that appeals to you, don't ever apologize. I'm sure there is lots of music that I like that other people would find ridiculous.

I mainly did the post because I could hear him rocking out to Roxette which struck me as funny.

Watch it with the Roxette bashing, dude!

Chris, please don't tell people not to apologize for their lame-o music tastes. They SHOULD apologize. If no one liked George Michael or Hootie and the Crappy Blowfish, then I wouldn't have to listen to them in the grocery store incessantly. If you ask me, they have A LOT of apologizing to do. In fact, they should offer me some sort of cash settlement.

out of all of those bands/people you named, I would have to say I might only like Dan Fogelberg-and that's just a teeny tiny bit. One or two songs. The rest of them: yes-those are really bad musical choices! Really bad.

NO ONE likes Kenny G without liking Celine Dion......

Hey, wait a minute, I know Hootie and the Blowfish. Really, I do. Funny, I was program director of the radio station at the time and Mark Bryan, their guitar player, almost got himself kicked off our station for playing too much commercial music. I think I see a trend. They were a sucky frat band when I was in college and we couldn't even give away tickets to their shows. That being said, they are all actually quite nice human beings.

Fogelberg's solo acoustic concerts are something you really must experience someday. They are amazing.

I went to a Color Me Badd concert when I was in 8th grade. It was awesome. They were so incredibly homely.

Steer clear of that guy. His Dull might rub off.

hey now....leave George alone, he liberated millions of underage girls whose Mama's thought it was probably better they didn't tell us he was gay and what it meant.
