Please Ignore This Post Unless You Were A Fan Of The Chicago Bears During The 1980s...

...OR you like to watch a drunk Mike Ditka. It's nine minutes and forty-eight seconds of disheveled goodness.

Classic Ditka, early on when he was asked how many QB's call their own plays, "I don't really know, don't care either."

Oh, I don't even have to watch (but I will), because that interview was a classic and I watched it when it happened and never forgot it!!

Man, those guys were more handsome than I remembered!

I stand corrected, there is another that is equally good. Remember when he got sappy on Bears Extra about Walter Payton? I remember laughing until I cried! I used to love to stay up for those interviews!

I was trying to remember the name of their quarter back the other day...he wore funky sunglasses, had punky hair...Jim McMann...even close?

Does anyone remember the Mike Ditka show on Channel 2? During the second half of the show, some random yokel would always ask Ditka a stupid question:

"Yeah, Coach - Who would win a three-legged race at the Chicago Bears picnic: Bronco Nagurski tied to Red Grange, Mike Ditka tied to Gayle Sayers, or Keith Van Horne tied to Walter Payton? I'll sit down and listen to your answer..."

Yes Frank, I remember that and this. Man, you always had to watch the Ditka show before the game!

God damn that's a great find. I remember "Cap Boso, what a name" but what had slipped my mind was the fact that they mostly said "Bozo." Wow.
