How About A Fucking Post Every Once In A While?...

As some of you may know, I have been working this winter as a paid ski patroller at a local resort (in addition to my volunteer duties on weekends. This is a short video highlighting a typical morning for me which includes riding around on a snowmobile and opening parts of the hill, as well as starting a fire in the warming house. You will notice how the Boy Scout Handbook section on how to start a fire goes out the window when temps are below zero.

Hey, at least you used lighter fluid. My dad would have used Coleman fuel.

Nice shot from the snowmobile, although now I can't help but think of you as Nicholson in "The Shining." All work and no play makes Chris a dull boy. Come to think of it, your bride hasn't posted on her blog lately. What's up with that?

You fat cats and your electric starters. Why in my day we had to kick them over, and I am not talking about the starter either!

Good to see you out here again Chris!

S.D.- We have two sleds. The other one doesn't have an electric start (and is a real pain in the ass), but once it's running, it's the better machine. I just prefer the ease and reliability of the electric start.

You mean the boy scout part about cleaning out the piles of old ashes? And did I see some live coals in there?

That was a nice fucking post. But a plain old post is nice too.

A little boy like you should not be allowed to ride a snowmobile by himself. And the lighter fluid? Where were your parents? Sheesh!!
