A Behind-The-Scenes Look At The Making Of A YouTube Video In Which I Reenact A Classic John Goodman Scene From "Revenge Of The Nerds"...

I'm sure most of you are familiar with John Goodman's brilliant performance as tough-guy dickhead Coach Harris in Revenge Of The Nerds. If not, here's a little refresher:

Originally I was going to post the John Goodman version followed by my version and have you all tell me how spot-on my impression was. Instead I decided that the outtakes were far more compelling than the final cut. I hope you enjoy it:

LMAO!

I think Megan was just fucking with you to see you do it again and again and laugh at you. This makes me love her.

Did I hear that right? Did Megan say you sounded girly? Hee hee hee. I do know some girls that sound just like that, oddly enough... but they kinda scare me.

You and Megan should do these kinds of videos more often. I'm serious! You're hilarious together!

...uhm..I see I'm not the only one who have to reenact his phrase in front of a camera while someone is laughing at him!

I think it was the woman chastising you from off camera that made this one.

Hey Chris-that was good! Can you do requests? I was wondering-(and this post really give more of an impetus for this)if you could do an impression of Glenn Beck? You've got the hair color-kinda-his seems to oddly change hue occasionally!)but not the length/style. Whaddaya say?!

Can you do over, and put an extra syllable in "asses"?

John Goodman says "asses" like this:

Aa-a-ss-es.

The first "A" has a long sound, the rest are like the "ah" sound.

Its a southern thing.
Im a southerner, so I know how to speak the language.

I hope you'll do it over, pretty please? Im sure your girlfriend won't mind.

Oh dear lord that made me laugh so hard I was crying.

BTW - it's a St. Louis thing. John Goodman is from the part of town that Gwen and I live in.

Glad she pointed me towards this blog!
